9 DAYS TO FREEDOM DAY: 04 October 2008.
Time served behind bars for caring about children and losing faith in the administration of justice:
222 days
Perry served a six month sentence for civil contempt of court!!! He is now serving an additional 30 day sentence for criminal contempt of court. No early release. Unlike other inmates Perry will serve every single day.
This is the institutional response to allegations of childhood sexual abuse.

Perry is down to single digits now 🙂 Nine days!!!

I had to be out and about all day today. Will be gone most of tomorrow too.

Two newspaper articles of interest posted. I believe both speak for themselves.
(1) Note that in Parish priest charged: Catholic cleric alleged to have touched boys Father Budiman was removed from all priestly ministry, but he was still a priest with the Archdiocese of Vancouver. That’s when the second “alleged incident” incident transpired.
Remember here that we have been told ad nauseam that Canadian Church officials prefer not to defrock clerical sexual predators because that way they, officials, keep an eye on them. I don’t know and can’t find an outcome to Budiman’s charges, but it certainly looks like keeping an eye on him was insufficient protection for his second “alleged”victim.
(2) As for Brother of Marc Cardinal Ouellet charged with sex crimes, what can I say? Four years!! It took a four-year-investigation for police to charge the Cardinal Archbishop of Quebec city’s brother.
Why four years? Why did it take four long years to charge the man? I hope it had nothing to do with his brother being the Cardinal Archbishop of Quebec city.
Enough for now
