Inquiry Evidence Decision Will Not Be Challenged- Commission Counsel

Cornwall News AM 1220

March 03, 2008 — They may disagree but they will not challenge the decision. The Cornwall police fought to have evidence from a number of witnesses tossed at the Cornwall Public Inquiry recently. However, last week, Commissioner Normand Glaude ruled most of the testimony will play a role in his view on how institutions responded to abuse allegations. Deputy Police Chief Danny Aikman tells AM 1220 News the force is not on the same page as the commissioner---but it will not appeal.  Commission counsel says none of the parties plan to take the issue to a higher court.
