Request To Clear Officers' Names At Inquiry

Cornwall News AM 1220

26 June 2008

June 26, 2008 — Will Cornwall police officers have their names cleared at the Cornwall Public Inquiry? The answer is "yes" if former city police chief Anthony Repa has his way. Repa is hoping Commissioner Normand Glaude will clear the names of officers who have been accused being part of a criminal cover up. Repa testified yesterday that these officers deserve no less. (Hear audio clip below) Repa's testimony continues when hearings resume at 10:00 this morning.

[Transcript of audio clip:  If you find that no member of the Cornwall Police was involved in any criminal cover-up, then I respectfully request that you consider so stating very clearly, even to naming the innocent officers.

Your report will be a meaningful opportunity to have their names publicly cleared. ]
