He’s Free! 

Early Saturday morning, 04 October 2008.  Perry was released just after midnight.  Helen was at the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre to meet him.  They headed straight to a nearby Tim Horton’s where Perry’s mother Heather, brother Bob, sister Rosalie and her husband Rick were counting the minutes to give Perry one great big hug.  One picture shows Perry and Helen in the quiet of the entrance calling their three girls (Monica, Heather and Marlee) in Duncan  to say Dad’s out and he’s free! 

Also there to share the moment were Steve Parisien, John MacDonald, my husband and self.

A few tears, a few laughs, a few coffeees, a few stories and a lot of smiles.  Perry and Helen headed off to an undisclosed location.  Perry's relieved and happy family headed for home.
