Cornwall Public Inquiry

  Dunlop – Again

Commentary by Lorne Wiebe

Cornwall News AM 1220

15 January 2008

Some Cornwall Public Inquiry watchers will contend that it had to be this way. They will say that the Inquiry was the final straw in a big haystack of lies, cover-up and conspiracy. They will maintain to their dying day that the "powers that be" had it in for Perry Dunlop from the very start. Others will say that Perry Dunlop is just the latest in a long line of people who have tried to right a wrong and got slammed hard for doing so. It is the way the world works; no good deed goes unpunished. There will also be those who say that Mr. Dunlop is simply paying the price for not lawfully complying with the laws of the land. An inquiry was called and no one, not even Perry Dunlop, is above the law. Regardless of where you stand on the whole Dunlop - Inquiry debacle, it is disheartening that the conspiracy theorists will think that they have been proven right all along and that ultimately it was the very inquiry called to clear the air that proved their conspiracy

Dunlop Knows The Consequences

Email to the Editor

Perry Dunlop CLEARLY understands the consequences of the decision he has chosen to make. At least he has chosen to be responsible and held accountable for his actions. Despite how some desperate people will characterize his decision, if only others had decided to take such brave responsibility in 1993, we wouldn't be here today.
