Justice not served by inquiry

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor:

Kudos to Lexi Bainas for the Jan. 15 article which sets a clear perspective on the case of Perry Dunlop, surely one of our greatest heroes. All rise for justice.

The obscenity is that the social values of both justice and economy are being destroyed, eroded by those who are assigned responsibility for upholding our social values.

Sixty million dollars spent on an "inquiry" paid for by who? The taxpayer. Sixty million dollars paid into whose pocket? The justice system. And what's it all about? Abuse of the innocent -- children and juveniles as well as adults and seniors.

Who benefits from all this abuse? Feeling victimized yet?

Who ARE the victimizers? What are our social values? Like Perry, all of us will eventually have to choose whether to lie down or stand up. If this is not the kind of society we want, then more of us must rise to the occasion for our "representatives" to be shown what is not acceptable.
