Keith Oullette

Accusations Police Threatened Alleged Abuse Victim

Cornwall News AM 1220

August 21, 2007 — He says he faced threats by police after he told them he had been abused. Fifty three-year-old Keith Ouellette took the stand at the Cornwall Public Inquiry yesterday and leveled accusations that the threats came from police officers over 20 years ago. Ouellette says he reported to police that a number of men had allegedly abused him when he was younger. He says he called the officers at a later date as well because he had more information. He says the police told him they did not have time to deal with it. Ouelette says after that two officers picked him from work one day in the mid 1980s and roughed him up at the police station. Ouellette will continue to testify later this morning.
