Advisory Panel/Gail Kaneb

Gail Kaneb

Gail Kaneb is a Cornwall native and member of Justice Normand Glaude’s Advisory Panel. Kaneb is a “Shadow Work Coach.”  She is president of Breakthrough Strategies where she is described as “an agent for change” who “helps individuals, couples, groups, and corporations identify what they want to achieve, what the obstacles are, and how to surmount them.”  Gail’s husband Tom Kaneb is a partner at Miralta Capital, a Montreal-based venture capital firm and co-owner of Sigmapoint technologies. On 10 April 2007 the Tom and Gail Kaneb Family Foundation was issued a letters patent under the provisions of the Canada Corporations Act.   

Gail and Tom are part of the wealthy and prominent Kaneb family in Cornwall.  The Kaneb family owns the Weave Shed, the site of the Cornwall Public Inquiry

GAIL GUSTIN KANEB, CORNWALL. Gail is a successful businesswoman and active community leader and philanthropist. She is also a certified Shadow Work® coach, and does extensive work with the Young Presidents Organization. She is a change catalyst, helping people and companies reach their full potential by leading them to address areas where they block themselves. As President of Breakthrough Strategies, Gail shares leadership, communication and conflict management strategies used in her own business as well as her family life as a spouse and parent of three. Gail has founded and sat on numerous community boards and she and her husband Tom were co-chairs of the “Our Hospital, Our Future” fundraising campaign, which exceeded the $12 million goal set for the Cornwall Hospital. In 2005, Gail and Tom received honourary diplomas from St. Lawrence College for their work in the Cornwall community and with hundreds of College graduates, and for their contribution to the important work of the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Science.
