Guzzo Claims Political Roadblocks Went Up On Abuse Claims

November 22, 2007 — It appears a former Ottawa area M-P-P ran into a few roadblocks when he tried to address child sex abuse allegations in Cornwall. Garry Guzzo says he confronted former local M-P-P Noble Villeneuve about the situation but claims he did not want to talk about it. Guzzo says he also went to former premier Mike Harris for help in the late 1990s. He says you could get along with Mr. Harris as long as you were not talking about the issue. Guzzo says he never had any indication the issue was discussed at cabinet, however he says Liberal John Cleary supported him but he was not part of the government.
