Police Issue Cornwall Safety Alert

Local News – AM 1220

December 18, 2008 — A man convicted of sexual assault has moved to Cornwall and in the interest of community safety, city police have now issued a special "safety alert". Sixty-year-old John Duhn was convicted in Arnprior court of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching last year. Those convictions related to offences committed against a 13-year-old boy that Duhn met at a public beach. Following a police investigation, Duhn was arrested and charged after officers determined that he had made sexual advances towards the boy. Duhn moved to Cornwall last week and remains under the supervision of a probation officer. Duhn is not allowed to have contact with children under 14 years of age for the next 14 years.
