Vote For The Greatest Cornwallite - Past!

AM 1220

Commentary

15 September 2008

Over the past two weeks, you have sent us dozens of submissions and have shared with us some wonderful stories about those great Cornwallites of the past. From doctors who made 2am house calls to the guy who ran the restaurant down the street, to the priest who meant so much to your family. Thank you for sharing your incredible tales of past good works and deeds. It was a difficult decision for our selection committee to pare down the nominees to only five but they did it. They are Lionel Chevrier, Dr. Garth Taylor, Joe St. Denis, Father Rudy Villeneuve and Sir John Sandfield McDonald. Now comes your chance to vote for "The Greatest Cornwallite - Past". Click on the link on this website to learn more about the nominees and to have your say. The person with the most votes at the end of the week will be honoured with a special memoriam at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Just like American Idol, you can vote as many times as you want, so vote often and tell your friends to vote too. This is going to be a lot of fun!

[theinquiry.ca note:   Perry Dunlop's efforts and sacrifice for the children and community apparently didn't pass muster with the screening committe.  Perry didn't make the cut.
