"Action" Group Pulls Out Of Inquiry

Cornwall News AM 1220

November 30, 2007 — Saying "the fix is in", the Coalition for Action on Child Sex Abuse is throwing in the towel at the Cornwall Public Inquiry. Spokesman Carson Chisholm says the group feels behind the 8-ball and has a disadvantage against the "power and might" of the institutions so they will concede. Chisholm addressed the commission before testimony got underway this morning. He tells AM 1220 news their voice isn't being heard.  Lead commission counsel, Peter Engelmann tells AM 1220 News inquiry staff was not expecting the announcement. Engelmann says he has written a letter to the group's lawyer to confirm the position.
