Sudbury police lay additional charges against Roman Catholic priest Father Bernard Cloutier.  Sudbury is home to Justice Normand Glaude who was born and raised in the area. 

The current bishop of Alexandria-Cornwall served as auxiliary Bishop in the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie 1997 to 2002; during that time frame he resided in Sudbury, Ontario

Charges of Indecent Assault Father Bernard Cloutier     Events  #  SU07036771, SU07036589,SU07040534 

Further allegations of sexual impropriety have led to the arrest of Father Bernard Cloutier, 66 years, of North Bay Ontario. Bernard Cloutier has been charged with 5 counts each of Indecent Assault on a Male, and Gross Indecency. The charges involve three victims.    

The incidents are alleged to have taken place in the 1970s while Bernard Cloutier was a parish priest in Chelmsford, and later in Espanola. Bernard Cloutier and his legal counsel, attended the Greater Sudbury Police Service this morning.  

He is scheduled to attend a bail hearing later today.
