Letters to the Editor

06 February 2009

As a regular daily viewer of the inquiry coverage and observing first hand some of the antics used by more than a few of the lawyers with standing, I feel very much for the many victims and cannot imagine the rt many or possible all of the victims are feeling today when they see how much money was consumed to feed the egos of some lawyers.

My only wish out of all this, was that a much larger share of the total cost was actually directed towards assisting the victims vis-a-vis adding to the lawyers "billable hourly rate".

In my humble opinion, the numerous lawyers were the only winners in this inquiry and the real victims continue to have to live with their past life experiences.

I would hope the commissioner's report at least mention if any of the victims ever got ahead and succeed in their own personal lives, let us hear about some positive stories of some victims turning their bad experience around and actually having a full and complete normal adult life. Sorry I am not aware of any and I would like to hear of some as I suspect there are some, but no one seems interested enough to ask these questions.
