Inquiry Hears About Lingering Effects Of Abuse

Cornwall New AM 1220

November 16, 2006 — Yesterday was set aside for administration matters, today the Cornwall Public Inquiry hears from an alleged victim. The AM 1220 News Centre’s Shannon Simpson has details. Roberta Archambault is on the stand and she says she was abused in two foster homes while growing up in the area. In the first, she says she was verbally, physically and sexually abused by her foster father. In the second, she says she was sexually abused by the son of her foster parents. Archambault says she is still suffering from the abuse today. She says its takes all of her strength to go and do the simple things in life and has trouble with affection.
