Discussion Begins On Cornwall's Greatest Citizen From The Past

September 02, 2008 — The search has begun for Cornwall's greatest citizen from the past. The event, "The Greatest Cornwallite - Past" launched this morning on AM 1220 with your nominations coming in online. All of the nominations will be whittled down by a special selection committee comprised of Citizen of the Year, Roy Perkins, former school trustee, Joe Gunn, and Corus Entertainment General Manager, Scott Armstrong. Armstrong spoke with John Bolton on Cornwall Today and says the success of our city has always come down to people. (Hear audio clip below.) The winner of "The Greatest Cornwallite - Past" will be honoured with a special memoriam at the new wing of the Cornwall Community Hospital.
